What We Offer
The Mechanical Engineer IIIisresponsible forsupporting manufacturing processes at the Covestro South Deerfield Site.This includes the implementation ofcapital and reliability projectsto allow for the safe, responsible, and efficient production of both Thermoplastic Polyurethane and Polycarbonate films.
The salary range for this position is between $89,500 - $127,800.
This is a full-time role that includes competitive pay, annual bonus potential, generous paid time off, 401K with companymatch, retirement contribution, tuition reimbursement, parental leave and medical, dental and vision coverage (no waiting period).
Integrates the site's incident free workplace culture into all activities
Manages mid-level safety relatedprojectsand activelyparticipateson site safety teams
Investigate and propose solutions for standard safety related concerns
Management of Change activities for standard process and project activities
Routinely leadssmall and mediumlevel site capital projects on time and withinbudget,participatesin large site improvement projects.
Provides necessary engineering support to complex capital and continual improvement projects across the site
Capable of using the tools for managingsite annual capital budget andparticipatesin longer term planning.
Identifiesimprovement projects and opportunities at the site.
Provides technical support to the production and maintenance teams in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
Develops andutilizesroot cause analysis techniques toidentifyissues with processing equipment or reliability problems.
Providesday-to-daysupport of production fortroubleshooting duringstart-up of new equipment.
Capable of updating Standard Operating Procedures as well as providing operator training activities for capital projectactivities.
Understands the business and economic drivers for the site and for their projects.
What You Offer
Bachelorsdegree in Mechanical Engineering or relatedengineering degreeand atleast6years in a manufacturing or engineering environmentOR
Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or relatedengineering degreeand atleast2years in a manufacturing or engineering environment
CAD, Project, SAP desirable
6+years in a manufacturing or engineering environment
Advanced Degree Desirable but notrequired
Professional registrationsand/or certifications are desirable
Theromoplasticfilm extrusion and web handling
Prior project management of various size and scopeprojects
Microsoft Office products
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills.
Practices active listening skills, able to communicate openly and effectively, providingtimelyand relevant feedback tofacilitateappropriate actionsby self and others.
Relates well to people at all levels in the organization andpossessesa balanced sensitivity to safety, employeeconcernsand business needs.
