Quality Engineer | Coopersville, MI

Salary Range: $70,000 - $104,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Coopersville seeking Quality Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement quality control procedures and standards.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality issues.
  • Monitor production processes and product quality to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform statistical analysis of quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Participate in the design and development of new products to ensure manufacturability and quality.
  • Conduct internal and external audits to assess compliance with quality management systems.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis, and other quality methodologies (e.g., 8D, FMEA).
  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
  • Experience with metrology, inspection equipment, and interpretation of technical drawings (GD&T).

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing methodologies.
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or other relevant ASQ certifications.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other quality management system standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior engineers or technicians.
