Business Systems Analyst

Location: Remote

Contract 12-24 months

Pay: $58.00- $70.00

Job Description:

The Business Systems Analyst will be responsible for leading the analysis and planning efforts to support the migration from the legacy Spectrum FX platform to a modern Foreign Exchange (FX) trading solution. This role will work closely with business, technology, and vendor teams to evaluate target platforms, define business requirements, and support the implementation of a future-state FX environment.

This position will analyze current FX trading processes, document business and technical requirements, evaluate platforms such as ION and Calypso, and develop migration strategies that minimize disruption to daily trading operations. The Business Systems Analyst will also support SWIFT messaging integration, facilitate stakeholder communication, and identify opportunities to improve the end-to-end FX trade lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will have strong business analysis experience within financial services, deep knowledge of FX trading systems, and experience supporting enterprise platform migrations.

Required Skills:

5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst within financial services or banking

Strong experience supporting Foreign Exchange (FX) trading systems

Hands-on experience with ION and Calypso platforms

Experience planning or supporting enterprise system migration projects

Deep understanding of the FX trade lifecycle, including Spot, Forwards, Swaps, and Options

Strong knowledge of SWIFT messaging standards, including MT300, MT103, and MT202

Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical specifications

Experience collaborating with business stakeholders, technology teams, and third-party vendors

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Bonus/Soft Skills:

Experience migrating from the Spectrum FX platform

Experience developing or managing vendor RFPs

Familiarity with API integrations and microservices architectures

Experience improving business processes within trading or treasury environments

Strong presentation and stakeholder management skills

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
