Description

Command Post Technologies, Inc. (CPT) is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer that will be responsible for the maintaining system level design artifacts, documentation, and support the development of system architecture artifacts, for the enterprise. 


Responsibilities:  

  • Support updates to system architecture artifacts and technical manuals. 
  • Maintain the organization's hardware drawings representing all deployment systems. 
  • Support procurement of hardware, software, and licenses for development and operational usage across the enterprise. 
  • Participate in the planning, direction and coordination of all program system engineering efforts. 
  • Maintain and expand knowledge of current and developing technologies, including newer hardware and networking infrastructure models and capabilities.  
  • Support system design reviews and the software development lifecycle. 
  • Provide input on design improvements to cyber tools software or hardware for the network 
  • Support resolution of all open program problem reports (PPRs) associated with system architecture artifacts and hardware drawings. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with a focus in systems engineering, computer science, computer engineering, or a related discipline with corresponding experience and demonstrated mastery of relevant topics. 
  • 10-12 years of related, proven experience performing similar duties. 
  • Proven experience with creation and management of hardware drawings to specify facility hardware and HVAC requirements, server room layouts, rack elevation diagrams, and wiring diagrams. 
  • Experience with system-level architectural design of software, hardware, and networked systems. 
  • Experience with model-based systems engineering and usage of modeling standards such as SYSML, UML, etc. to represent views of hardware and software systems. 
  • Experience developing and maintaining system and software installation documentation.  
  • Experience working government programs with controlled engineering baselines. 
  • Intermediate level knowledge of computer networking and IT Service Management best practices. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work within teams. 
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • U.S. citizenship and Secret clearance eligibility.

Desired Qualifications:  

  • Master's degree with a focus in computer science, computer engineering, or a related discipline. 
  • 12+ years of related, proven experience performing similar duties. 
  • Knowledge of virtualization and containerization technologies. 
  • Effective communication skills; ability to accurately convey project status, identify, assess, and mitigate program risks and to express technical ideas to senior decision makers. 
  • Advanced knowledge of IT Service Management best practices 
  • Intermediate level knowledge of cybersecurity, including common risks to IT systems and of enterprise IT concepts, architectures, and systems (compute, network, storage). 
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as SVN and Git. 
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps methodologies and tools.
