    You as a Site Superintendent:

    • Promote and demonstrate a strong culture of health and safety as a safety leader.
    • Are experienced in all aspects of commercial construction projects and provide overall construction site management and leadership.
    • Supervise and develop site team members through regular feedback, training, and coaching.
    • Responsible for project setup, job site logistics and coordination.
    • Identify and address discrepancies or omissions in construction documents, identify constructability challenges and opportunities, and assess budget and schedule constraints.
    • Manage site safety cleanliness, quality control and drive the schedule.
    • Partner with the Project Management team to communicate effectively with trades, owners, architects, engineers, and deliver projects as a team leader.
    • Identify any conflicts or issues with the schedule, health and safety, and quality of work and collaborate with the project team to resolve.
    • Responsible for completing and maintaining all project and safety reports, documentation, timecards, and photography in document control system.
    • Coordinate and manage all trades, materials, inspections, and commissioning.
    • Conduct and/or attend preconstruction meetings, tool box talks, safety meetings, project team meetings, and Site Superintendent meetings.
    • Develop look ahead schedules, distribute to the team, track site progress, and ensure subcontractors are meeting schedule commitments.
    • Implement deficiency management plan and ensure deficiencies are identified, communicated, and rectified in a timely manner.
    • Prepare labour, equipment, and material forecasts as required.
    • Manage HSE plan and implement company safety policies on the job site.
    • Manage site demobilization.


    Do you see these qualities in yourself?

    • 5+ years of construction management experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
    • Demonstrated 3+ years of supervisory experience.
    • Knowledge of various trade disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, quality control and engineered shop drawings.
    • Have an understanding of CCDC construction contracts and documents, understanding of drawings, specifications, building practices and building codes.
    • Strong leadership skills with proven experience managing all disciplines, employees, and subtrades.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships.
    • Effective problem solving and negotiation skills.
    • Understanding of budgeting, costing, scheduling, risk management and profitability.
    • Adaptable and ability to work in a fast-paced environment, within tight deadlines while maintaining safety and high-quality standards.
    • Experience working on Healthcare, Higher Education, and Government/Institutional projects is considered an asset.
    • Experience using Procore is considered an asset.
    • Certification of First Aid/CPR, WHMIS, and advanced knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
