The Tennessee Department of Agriculture is seeking a reliable and hardworking General Laborer for a short-term museum setup project. The selected candidate will assist with assembling chair storage carts and relocating approximately 200 folding chairs between two adjacent buildings located approximately 50 yards apart.

The ideal candidate should be physically capable, dependable, comfortable using basic hand tools, and able to work efficiently while following instructions and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

• Assemble chair storage carts using basic hand tools and drivers.
• Safely load and transport approximately 200 folding chairs between two adjacent buildings.
• Move chairs approximately 50 yards using assembled storage carts.
• Push, pull, lift, carry, and organize chairs and related materials.
• Handle equipment and materials carefully to prevent damage.
• Follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors.
• Maintain a steady and productive workflow throughout the assignment.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
• Complete assigned tasks within the required short-term project timeline.

• Previous experience in general labor, warehouse, moving, material handling, setup/teardown, or similar work preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use simple hand/power tools.
• Ability to follow directions and complete tasks accurately.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Dependable, punctual, and willing to perform physically demanding work.
• Strong attention to safety and proper handling of materials.

• Ability to repeatedly lift, push, pull, carry, bend, and walk throughout the workday.
• Ability to move and organize folding chairs and equipment.
• Ability to push loaded storage carts across approximately 50 yards between buildings.
• Ability to remain on your feet and perform physical activities for extended periods.
• Ability to safely handle materials and equipment during setup and relocation activities.
