Senior Applications Developer (Hybrid position)

Utilizing proprietary methods for T cell epitope identification and characterization, we employ a wide range of validated in silico and in vitro techniques. This comprehensive approach provides accurate and thorough insights into candidate immunogenicity, ensuring the effectiveness and safety of our clients' products.


Position Overview:


The Senior Applications Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex application solutions utilized in immunoinformatics, bioinformatics, and life sciences to support advanced research and data analysis.

This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and high-performing applications within an Oracle environment, including Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong programming skills, a deep understanding of relational databases, and a proven ability to solve complex technical challenges. This position will require in office time in Providence, RI.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement robust application solutions using PL/SQL, Python, JavaScript, jQuery, and HTML
  • Develop and optimize database objects, queries, and procedures for Oracle environments, including leveraging Oracle Cloud Infrastructure services
  • Work closely with business analysts, QA engineers, and other developers to gather requirements and ensure successful project delivery
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application and database issues in a timely manner
  • Contribute to code reviews, technical documentation, and best practices for application development
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems and processes, especially in the context of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in application development with demonstrated expertise in PL/SQL, Python, JavaScript, jQuery, and HTML
  • Extensive experience working within Oracle database environments and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
  • Proficiency in Oracle APEX is a plus
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
