    Job description

    Broadridge is hiring! We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director, Government & Regulatory Affairs to join its Regulatory Affairs team. Reporting to the Head of Government Affairs, this individual will play a critical role in advancing Broadridge's policy priorities by building and maintaining relationships with key federal officials, monitoring legislative and regulatory developments, and positioning Broadridge as a trusted resource among policymakers and industry stakeholders.
    The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of the financial services regulatory landscape, a strong network on Capitol Hill and within federal agencies, and the ability to translate complex regulatory issues into clear, compelling narratives for a variety of audiences.
    Responsibilities
    Government Relations & Stakeholder Engagement
    • Develop, manage, and deepen relationships with Members of Congress, congressional staff, federal agency officials, and other key external stakeholders relevant to Broadridge's business and policy interests
    • Serve as a credible, trusted representative of Broadridge in the legislative and regulatory arenas, effectively communicating the company's mission, capabilities, and policy perspectives
    • Represent Broadridge at congressional hearings, regulatory forums, industry coalitions, and policy events

    Legislative & Regulatory Monitoring
    • Proactively monitor federal legislative and regulatory activity - including actions by the SEC, FINRA, CFTC, Treasury, etc. and Congress - for potential impact on Broadridge and its clients
    • Analyze proposed rules, legislation, and policy initiatives and provide timely, actionable intelligence to senior leadership and internal stakeholders
    • Identify emerging policy trends and assess their implications for Broadridge's business strategy and regulatory obligations

    Strategy Development & Execution
    • Assist in developing and executing government affairs strategies to advance Broadridge's policy objectives on key legislative and regulatory matters
    • Draft and review comment letters, white papers, testimony, briefing materials, external regulatory updates, and other policy communications
    • Effectively manage and coordinate with outside consultants and lobbying firms to support government affairs initiatives

    Internal Coordination & Leadership
    • Collaborate extensively across Broadridge's business units, legal, compliance, and communications teams to ensure alignment on policy positions and messaging
    • Keep senior leadership and relevant internal teams informed of pertinent governmental activity and its potential business impact
    • Contribute to the development of a cohesive, proactive government affairs function within the Regulatory Affairs team

    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or JD strongly preferred
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in government relations, federal affairs, legislative affairs, or a related field
    • Prior experience working in or with Congress, a federal regulatory agency (e.g., SEC, CFTC, FINRA, Treasury), or a financial services firm's government affairs function strongly preferred
    • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain relationships with senior government officials, congressional staff, and high-level private sector representatives
    • Strong working knowledge of the financial services industry, securities regulation, and the federal legislative and rulemaking processes
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to distill complex regulatory and policy issues for diverse audiences
    • Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate policy developments and recommend proactive responses
    • Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
    • Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills and sound professional judgment

    Compensation Range: The salary range for this position is between $180,000 - $190,000.
    Bonus Eligibility: Bonus Eligible
