Job description

Overview

BlueWater Federal is looking for a Network Specialist-Solution Design to support the DISA CP program at Whitehall, OH.  This role is supporting the swing shift (2pm-10pm).


Responsibilities
  • Lead planning, investigation, design, and implementation of communications solutions affecting the entire network, ensuring alignment with DISA programs and systems.
  • Use DISA processes to integrate solutions across classified and unclassified networks, focusing on system development and network optimization.
  • Collaborate with team members, customers, and vendors to identify communication needs (voice, data, image) and deliver software, hardware, and network solutions.
  • Create and recommend workprints, schematics, and design tools to depict network structures and solutions.
  • Assess customer network usage, recommend media solutions, optimize servers, and ensure configurations meet performance goals.
  • Coordinate with government and contractor technicians to manage and maintain network equipment, configurations, and access privileges.
  • Support marketing proposals and studies by providing cost models, technical reports, and solution recommendations.

Qualifications
  • Must have an active Secret clearance
  • 2+ years military experience in communications or a related technical field; or 2+ years in an accredited technical training program plus 1 year of relevant communications experience; or 2+ years professional experience in communications or a related technical discipline is required.
  • Must be able to work the swing shift (2pm-10pm)
