Job description

KAIROS, Inc is searching for an energetic, experienced, and highly motivated Financial Systems Analyst, Senior, to join our team. This position is contingent upon contract award.ย 
Established in July 2013, KAIROS, Inc. is a growing Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB) specializing in Life Cycle Program Management, Engineering, Cybersecurity, Logistics and Sustainment, Enterprise Platforms and AI, and Additive Manufacturing services focused on optimizing customersโ€™ program performance and mission through proven methodologies and ethical practices. Our headquarters is in California, MD near Naval Air Station Patuxent River. We offer competitive salaries and benefits with outstanding growth potential.
This position will provide financial management support for the division. Analyst will use their expertise to provide advice and technical assistance in the preparation of annual budgets. ย 
Primary Duties:ย 
  • Measure organizational performance, assess the effects of various programs and policies on the budget.
  • Examine budget estimates for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with established procedures, regulations, and organizational objectives.
  • Employ cost-benefit analysis to review financial requests, assess program tradeoffs, and explore alternative funding methods.
  • Examine past and current budgets and research economic and financial developments that affect the organizationโ€™s spending.
  • Develop guidelines and policies governing the formulation and maintenance of budgets.
  • May conduct training sessions for company or government agency personnel regarding new budget procedures.
  • Coordinate financial activities across various stakeholders.
  • Manage finances across multiple funding types.
  • Track budgets, costs, and variances.
  • Produce executive summaries.
  • Conduct financial reporting and analyses on financial issues and customer requirements.
  • Develop and propose courses of actions (COAs) and recommendations for financial issues.
  • Interpret and apply financial management principles.
  • Apply financial management processes, techniques, policies, regulations and organizational strategic goals.
Skills and Qualifications:ย 
  • Demonstrated competency in Navy ERP.
  • Demonstrated experience training other contractor BFMs to ensure their competency
  • Ability to provide guidance and oversight to other contractors at the junior and mid experience levels.
  • Strong customer relations, analytics, and documentation skills
  • Self-starter, highly motivated, strong work ethic with a commitment to quality
  • Microsoft office suite proficiency, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to work within a challenging, fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to multi-task and meet competing, deliverable deadlines
  • Detail oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide clear status and/or communicate issues
  • Ability to adapt to evolving technology
โ€‹Education and Experience:ย 
  • Masterโ€™s degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field, preferred.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field, required
  • Earned Value Management Professional (EVMP) certification or equivalent, required
  • DAU Cost Estimating credential, required
  • Ten (10) or more years of professional experience directly related to the position
  • Experience working in DoD program building budgets and developing budget exhibits.
  • At least three (3) years of supervisory experience.
Clearance:ย 
This position is subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. In order to complete the requirements for government security clearance investigation you must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to complete the full background investigation. This position requires an Active Secret Security Clearance.
Compensation:ย 
While skills, education, and experience are key factors, they are not the sole determinants of salary. Other determining factors include but are not limited to location, contract budgets and requirements, and government labor category guidelines. The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 to $145,000. KAIROS also provides a comprehensive benefits package as additional employee compensation.ย
