Winter Haven Hospital part of the BayCare Health System is seeking a compassionate and motivated Outpatient Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Pool/PRN to join our multidisciplinary rehabilitation team. The Speech Therapist will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with communication, cognitive-linguistic, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders in an outpatient setting. This role provides the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
Outpatient Speech Therapist (SLP) Pool/PRN Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing evaluations for outpatient populations
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on physician orders and patient goals
  • Provide evidence-based therapy for adult patients
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, progress, and home exercise programs
  • Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals
  • Document evaluations, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and timely in the EMR
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and professional standards
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and patient satisfaction efforts

Patient Populations May Include
  • Neurological conditions (e.g., stroke, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson's disease)
  • Voice and fluency disorders
  • Cognitive-communication disorders
  • Dysphagia

Qualifications Required:
    • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
    • Florida State License in Speech-Language Pathology
    • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
