Job description

IFP Automation is seeking a high performing Territory Sales Manager to drive new account acquisition and gross margin growth, with a primary focus on fluid connectors within MRO and OEM customers.

This is a performance driven role for a true hunter. You will be expected to build your territory, identify high value target accounts, penetrate competitive situations, and win business away from incumbent suppliers.

The primary focus of this role is fluid connectors, with the opportunity to expand into broader MRO and core product offerings once relationships are established.

This role is for you if:

  • You are motivated by winning new business and taking market share
  • You have a proven track record of selling a premium fluid connectors product line
  • You have successfully converted larger MRO accounts from incumbent suppliers
  • You are comfortable prospecting, building your own target account list, and creating opportunities
  • You are motivated by a compensation structure with strong upside tied to performance, with no income cap

This role is not a fit if you are primarily an account manager or prefer maintaining existing relationships over building new ones.

What you'll do:

  • Develop and win new MRO and OEM customer accounts, with a primary focus on fluid connectors
  • Analyze the territory, identify high value target accounts, and build your own prospecting plan
  • Penetrate competitive accounts and convert business from incumbent suppliers
  • Drive gross margin growth within the territory
  • Call on maintenance, purchasing, operations, engineering, and plant leadership to establish and grow relationships
  • Partner with internal teams to deliver solutions and ensure execution
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities

Compensation

  • Competitive base salary
  • Performance-driven variable compensation tied to gross margin
  • Higher earnings come from:
    • Winning new accounts
    • Growing gross margin dollars year over year

This role is designed to reward hunters who generate profitable growth and focus on the areas most important to IFP. Top performers who consistently focus on the right business and deliver profitable growth will have the opportunity to earn at a high level.

What Success Looks Like

  • Consistently winning new accounts
  • Successfully converting larger fluid connectors accounts from competitors
  • Delivering measurable gross margin growth
  • Building and maintaining a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities
  • Expanding accounts beyond connectors into broader MRO and core product categories
  • Selling value-added solutions rather than competing primarily on price

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven success developing new business
  • Proven experience selling a premium fluid connectors product line to engineering managers and other key stakeholders
  • Ability to develop and maintain inventory strategies, in collaboration with Director of Operations, based on market knowledge to support key customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to convert and grow larger MRO accounts
  • Proven ability to take market share from competitors while selling premium priced products
  • Strong communication, prospecting, and relationship building skills
  • Self motivated, disciplined, and accountable
  • Industrial sales experience required, preferably in fluid connectors, hose and fittings, and direct customer sales

Why IFP

  • Strong core product lines and technical capabilities
  • Opportunity to lead with fluid connectors and expand into broader engineered solutions
  • Internal support that helps you win and keep business
  • Compensation aligned with performance and profitable growth

If you are driven to build a territory, convert meaningful accounts, and grow fluid connectors business while being rewarded for results, this role is built for you.
