    Overview

    Job Title: Technical Engineer

    Department: Technical 

    Reporting To: Director, Technical Operations 

    Employment Type: Full-Time 

    Work Arrangement: On-Site in Philadlephia 

    Overview: 

    This position is structured with various job assignments, to support the many platforms that make up our digital and broadcasting endeavors. The program will provide the candidate with the opportunities to service many departments within local Philadelphia radio and corporate media projects. The candidate will become familiar with, and support all aspects of information technologies to support broadcast and digital functions. Included also, a strong involvement with the many new video streaming content projects currently underway for the many stakeholders at Audacy Philadelphia.

    Responsibilities

    What You'll Do:

    • Work with a dedicated senior group of broadcast engineers, to support the roles and responsibilities of a broadcast technician and broadcast IT engineer.
    • You will be introduced to AM and FM transmitter facilities and become familiar with routine maintenance, and hands on projects under supervision by senior broadcast engineers.
    • Work with the digital teams to fulfill technological needs and planning.
    • Work with local radio market brand managers on all aspects of video production and distribution through current platforms, with familiarity of NDI, OBS, V-Mix, TriCaster and are encouraged to innovate new approaches to ever changing technologies.
    • Take a leadership role in performance space activities (front of House- technical).
    • Work with core sports broadcast production teams for Eagles, and Phillies radio, with emphasis on technical operations of Home and away games for Eagles radio broadcast.
    Qualifications

    Required:

    • Basic knowledge of computers and IT systems is a must, including proficiency with Google, (GMail, Doc's Sheets, Slides).
    • The ability to multitask in a multiple-project environment.
    • Availability to work various hours / days, including some weekends and holidays.
    • Good communication skills.
    • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally climb ladders.
    • A valid driver's license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check, and, if the position requires the use of the applicant's own vehicle, proof of insurance is required.
    • A recent graduate of either an undergraduate or relevant advanced degree program, or trade school, or relevant experience.
    • The ideal candidate is a motivated, fearless, curious, inquisitive, critical thinker, and passionate individual ready to dive in and start pursuing their career in the broadcast audio, video and entertainment industry.
