Our client is a well-established provider of specialized commissioning, construction support, industrial services, and energy solutions, partnering with customers on complex projects throughout the Americas.
The ideal candidate is a proven business development leader with a track record of developing strategic growth initiatives, expanding key customer relationships, and leading complex commercial pursuits. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys collaborating with owners, EPC firms, engineering consultants, utilities, industrial contractors, manufacturers, and executive decision-makers to secure long-term business opportunities across a broad portfolio of energy solutions.
Location: Houston, Texas
Schedule: Full-time
Compensation: Starting at $185,000, depending on experience and qualifications, plus a 20% annual performance bonus.
Direct Hire: This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity (not a temporary position).
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic business development initiatives that drive revenue growth, expand market share, and strengthen the organization's presence throughout the Americas.
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across capital projects (CAPEX), operations and maintenance (O&M), and specialized energy service offerings.
  • Build and strengthen long-term relationships with owners, EPC firms, engineering consultants, utilities, industrial contractors, manufacturers, and executive-level decision-makers.
  • Develop strategic account growth plans that increase customer value, expand market share, and identify cross-selling opportunities across multiple service lines.
  • Lead complex commercial pursuits from early opportunity identification through solution development, proposal preparation, commercial negotiations, contract award, and successful project handoff.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, technical, estimating, commercial, and proposal teams to develop competitive, customer-focused solutions that support successful project execution.
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations, proposals, business reviews, and commercial strategies that clearly communicate value and differentiate the organization's capabilities.
  • Maintain an active pipeline of qualified opportunities while providing accurate sales forecasts, strategic account plans, CRM updates, and market intelligence.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, customer feedback, and emerging industry developments to identify new business opportunities and support continued market expansion.
  • Represent the organization at customer meetings, conferences, trade shows, networking events, and other industry functions throughout the Americas.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and industry experience.
  • Ten or more years of business development, technical sales, enterprise sales, account management, or commercial leadership experience within the energy, industrial, infrastructure, engineering, construction, or technical services industries.
  • Demonstrated success developing new business, growing strategic customer relationships, and achieving revenue growth objectives.
  • Experience selling capital project (CAPEX), operations and maintenance (O&M), energy, industrial, engineering, or technical service solutions.
  • Proven experience developing strategic account growth plans, building qualified sales pipelines, managing complex commercial pursuits, and securing high-value opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of consultative selling, enterprise account management, long sales cycles, and solution-based sales.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify customer needs and position value-driven solutions.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts and translate operational capabilities into meaningful business value for customers.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven ability to influence executive-level stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Highly organized with exceptional strategic planning and business development skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
  • Willingness to travel as business needs require.
