    Job description

    Apogee Engineering has an exciting opportunity for an Agile Product Owner within NASIC’s modernization initiative. As a member of the NASIC MOD team, you will guide scrum teams through complex development projects, managing a wide variety of mission requirements to facilitate the creation of transformative technologies. You will have the unique opportunity to work with both intelligence analysts and mission leaders across NASIC, ultimately becoming the catalyst of technological advancement within the USAF’s zero-trust initiative.

    • In this role you are navigating expectation with resource capacity.
    • Lead the development and maintenance of enterprise and system-level architectures.
    • Design secure, scalable solutions for transitioning legacy capabilities into NASIC Unified Cloud and related environments.
    • Guide integration of IA/AI/ML and advanced analytics capabilities into mission workflows.
    • Coordinate architecture decisions with stakeholders to ensure alignment with NASIC Enterprise Architecture and CIO direction.
    • Conduct system trade studies, risk analyses, and cost-benefit analyses to inform modernization decisions.
    • Provide technical oversight and direction to journeyman/apprentice technical staff supporting related subtasks (e.g., Zero Trust, data storage, emerging technology).
    • Prepare and deliver technical briefings, decision papers, and architecture documentation in support of NASIC leadership.

    Minimum Experience:

    Citizenship: Must be a US citizen 
    Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.

    Education / Years of Experience: Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; OR- Eight (8) additional years of relevant work experience (total 18 years) may be substituted for the Master’s degree; OR- Four (4) additional years of relevant work experience plus a Bachelor’s degree may be substituted for the Master’s degree.

    • Demonstrated experience leading systems engineering and architecture efforts on complex DoD or IC programs/projects.
    • Proven experience designing and integrating solutions in cloud or hybrid environments.
    • Experience conducting system trade studies, risk assessments, and mission/functional analyses.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience briefing senior leaders.
    • Experience as Software Developers and Intel Analysts.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with NASIC Unified Cloud, MRE, and DAF Cloudworks environments.
    • Agile, specifically scrum experience / familiarity in the experience.
    • Experience integrating IA/AI/ML or advanced analytics into operational mission systems.
    • Familiarity with NASIC enterprise standards and the NASIC Software Development Guide / NASIC Software Way.
    • Prior leadership experience in an intelligence center or similar organization.
