Job description

Overview
Apogee Engineering is looking for a highly capable candidate for Acquisition Support able to provide senior-level acquisition support to technical leads for hardware, software, and services procurements. Leads preparation of acquisition packages, bills of material, and justifications, and tracks progress of ISS-related contracting actions.

Responsibilities
  • Assist government technical leads in defining acquisition requirements and strategies.
  • Develop and refine bills of material (BOMs) for hardware, software, and services acquisitions.
  • Prepare acquisition packages, including justifications, documentation, and coordination artifacts required for approval.
  • Obtain quotes from vendors and support market research and pricing analysis.
  • Track progress of ISS-related contracting actions and provide status updates to stakeholders.
  • Produce the monthly ISS Acquisition Posture Report documenting progress on contracting actions.

Qualifications
Minimum Experience:
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI
Education / Years of Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Acquisition, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in acquisition, procurement, or contracts administration, preferably in IT or systems-related domains.
  • Experience supporting hardware, software, and services procurements in a government or defense setting.
  • Familiarity with acquisition documentation, justification requirements, and approval workflows.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills; able to manage multiple concurrent acquisition actions.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • DAWIA/DAU or similar acquisition certification.
  • Experience working directly with ISS- or CIO-type organizations on IT procurements.
  • Knowledge of government IT buying vehicles and small/large business sourcing strategies.
  • Experience with cost estimation and vendor quote evaluation for COTS and custom solutions.
