Job description

Title: IT Sourcing Specialist
Location: Johnston, RI
Duration: 12+ Months
 
In the role of Sourcing Specialist, you will be armed with key spend data, forward-looking market intelligence, and a fully integrated source-to-pay process, enabling you to be a strong strategic partner with business line executives.
This will help you drive shorter cycle times, increase market intelligence, higher-level strategic discussions, and increase savings opportunities.
The Sourcing Specialist will report to the Sourcing Team Manager as part of the Sourcing Group within Procurement.
The successful candidate will partner with other Sourcing professionals to identify market and economic trend opportunities and execute against them to continually improve the value derived from third-party relationships.
Primary focus is to align with the business lines in a way that generates a positive impact on them in achieving their business goals, while optimizing value to the overall organization.
Responsibilities: Contribution to comprehensive commodity and sourcing strategies for strategic/complex negotiations.
Ability to negotiate, including contract redlining for all types of corporate transactions using an Agile contracting framework.
Working with the Senior Sourcing Lead by performing market analysis, benchmark analysis, and spend analysis for assigned commodity projects.
Working with Line of Business partners to establish specifications for the product/service being purchased.
Lead or facilitate the supplier selection and negotiation process. Put in place contracts for strategic purchases.
Maintaining close relations with the industry supply base and industry experts with the objective to develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
