    Job Summary

    Cyclone Lighting, an Acuity Brands company, was founded in 1999 and designs, develops, and manufactures outdoor luminaires and accessories in its production facility located north of Montreal.     Key Responsibilities

    Reporting to the Industrialization Lead, the Mechanical Designer will be responsible for bringing customer orders into production, improving existing products, and supporting cost-reduction initiatives.

    Main responsibilities include:

    Create manufacturing, assembly, and installation drawings.

    Work with the ERP system and create product Bills of Materials (BOMs).

    Maintain and manage BOM structures.

    Design sheet metal parts, cast aluminum components, and welded assemblies.

    Develop 3D models and technical designs.

    Develop production work tools such as templates and fixtures.

    Ensure compliance with UL, CSA, and other applicable standards.

    Provide technical support to production teams.

    Minimum Requirements

    Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience with a D.E.C. in Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent training required.

    Relevant experience in mechanical engineering drawing preferred.

    Proficiency with AutoCAD and SolidWorks required.

    Knowledge of Adobe software and Microsoft Office Suite required.

    Ability to visualize and model in 3D required.
