Facilities / Road & Grounds Maintenance Technician

Location: Ellijay, GA
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Facilities / Road & Grounds Maintenance Technician to help maintain and preserve the beauty, safety, and functionality of our 5,500-acre mountain community. This full-time position plays a key role in maintaining roads, common areas, facilities, and grounds to ensure a high-quality environment for residents and guests.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, safety-conscious, physically capable, and enjoys working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain roads, drainage systems, signage, and community infrastructure
  • Perform groundskeeping duties including mowing, trimming, brush clearing, and debris removal
  • Assist with snow removal, sanding, and seasonal road maintenance
  • Perform general facility repairs and preventative maintenance
  • Operate trucks, tractors, mowers, and other equipment safely
  • Conduct routine inspections of community areas and report issues
  • Assist with special projects and emergency response as needed
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Basic handyman or general maintenance skills required
  • Experience in facilities maintenance, landscaping, construction, or related field preferred
  • Ability to safely operate maintenance equipment and power tools
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Health Card
Physical Requirements
