Job description

Position Overview

Integrity Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team in Waterbury, Connecticut. This full-time position is aimed at providing exceptional home care services to our patients, focusing on restoring movement and enhancing their functionality. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate and motivating professional who understands the physical and emotional challenges of recovery.

About the Organization

Integrity Physical Therapy is a well-respected practice specializing in orthopedic outpatient care. Our patient-centric approach emphasizes quality and compassion as we serve individuals with private medical insurance. Located in a state-of-the-art facility, we utilize modern technologies and methods to ensure that patients receive the best care possible. Although our primary operations are in home settings, we also have a robust outpatient facility designed with a comprehensive range of sports medicine capabilities.

Work Environment

This role is onsite, primarily within patient homes, allowing for personalized care experiences in familiar environments. You will collaborate with a close-knit team consisting of two fellow physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA). Our work culture prioritizes teamwork, open communication, and continuous learning to enhance our clinical practices and improve patient experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients to identify individual goals and customize treatment plans tailored to their unique needs.
  • Manage a caseload averaging one patient per hour, ensuring timely and high-quality interventions.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices to deliver care focused on enhancing range of motion, mobility, and overall health.
  • Provide cost-effective treatments that promote recovery while reducing dependence on medications and invasive interventions.
  • Design and implement comprehensive care plans that incorporate physical therapy techniques, exercise protocols, and wellness strategies.
  • Educate patients on lifestyle modifications to improve strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
  • Motivate and encourage patients throughout their treatment journey to maximize their functional outcomes.
  • Document all patient care services comprehensively and communicate progress to ensure continuity of care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals when necessary to create a multidisciplinary approach to patient health.
  • Continuously assess treatment outcomes and adjust care plans as needed for optimal results.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will engage with a diverse population of patients requiring orthopedic rehabilitation due to injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions. Your approach will focus on individual assessments and evidence-based strategies, ensuring that each patient receives tailored care to help them achieve their personal health and mobility goals.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy with demonstrated expertise in orthopedic care.
  • A valid Connecticut state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
  • No history of board or disciplinary actions against your professional license.
  • Strong manual therapy skills and a robust understanding of therapeutic exercise.
  • Proficient in the use of EMR systems, especially WebPT, to track patient progress and maintain accurate records.
Preferred Experience

While the minimum experience required is two years in an orthopedic outpatient setting, candidates with extensive experience in home care or a specialty in sports medicine will be given preference. Additional certifications in advanced manual therapy or specialized rehabilitation techniques will be highly regarded.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers an attractive annual salary ranging from USD 120,000 to USD 140,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, retirement plans, continuing education opportunities, and paid time off, designed to support the overall well-being of our staff.

Career Growth Opportunities

At Integrity Physical Therapy, we value your personal and professional development. Opportunities exist for further training, specialization certifications, or involvement in clinic management roles. We encourage continuing education and support our therapists in attending workshops, webinars, and conferences to enhance their skill sets.

Why Join Our Team
