Job description

Driver Road SupervisorSupport Drivers, Promote Safety, and Keep Operations Moving

zTrip, the nation's largest transportation provider, is looking for a dependable and motivated Driver Road Supervisor to support drivers and daily transportation operations throughout the Las Vegas area. In this field-based role, you'll serve as a key point of contact between drivers, passengers, and management while helping ensure safe, efficient, and professional service.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who can think quickly, solve problems, and remain calm under pressure while promoting safety and operational excellence.

Position Summary

As a Driver Road Supervisor, you will provide hands-on support to drivers in the field. You'll respond to incidents, assist with operational issues, monitor safety performance, investigate complaints, conduct vehicle inspections, and help ensure company policies and standards are followed.

This role combines driver support, safety oversight, roadside assistance, coaching, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities of a Driver Road Supervisor:Driver Support & Operations
  • Assist drivers with operational and service-related issues.
  • Answer questions regarding routes, procedures, and company policies.
  • Communicate driver concerns and operational updates to management.
  • Promote professionalism and excellent customer service.
Incident Response & Investigations
  • Respond to accidents, breakdowns, emergencies, and service disruptions.
  • Evaluate situations and coordinate appropriate assistance.
  • Complete incident reports and collect photos and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure all reports are submitted accurately and on time.
Safety Monitoring & Coaching
  • Observe driver performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct ride observations, field audits, and vehicle inspections.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and corrective feedback when needed.
  • Reinforce safety policies, regulations, and best practices.
Vehicle Inspections & Compliance
  • Inspect vehicles and safety equipment to ensure operational readiness.
  • Verify compliance with company standards and safety requirements.
  • Check cameras, electronic devices, and onboard technology.
  • Report maintenance and safety concerns.
Roadside Assistance & Fleet Support

Provide roadside assistance when appropriate, including:

  • Jump-starts
  • Flat tire assistance
  • Vehicle lockout assistance
  • Minor vehicle repairs and part replacements

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating towing and recovery services.
  • Determining whether vehicles are safe to return to service.
  • Removing unsafe vehicles from operation when necessary.
  • Documenting all roadside activities.
New Driver Support
  • Assist newly onboarded drivers during training and transition periods.
  • Provide guidance on company policies, safety procedures, and technology platforms.
  • Help drivers understand vehicle systems and communication tools.
  • Share driver feedback with management.
Training & Development
  • Support driver orientation and onboarding programs.
  • Assist with ongoing training and compliance initiatives.
  • Reinforce expectations for safety, service, and performance.
  • Encourage professional development and continuous improvement.
Fitness-for-Duty Monitoring
  • Monitor drivers for signs of fatigue, impairment, or unsafe behavior.
  • Follow company procedures for reporting concerns.
  • Work with management on investigations or testing when required.
  • Take appropriate action to protect driver, passenger, and public safety.
Video Review & Investigations
  • Review camera footage related to accidents, complaints, and safety concerns.
  • Document findings and assist with investigations.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company, customer, and driver information.
Documentation & Reporting
  • Complete daily activity reports and operational summaries.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, inspections, roadside assistance, and corrective actions.

Qualifications of a Driver Road Supervisor:Required
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently.

Preferred
  • Experience in transportation, fleet operations, rideshare, taxi, logistics, dispatch, or related industries.
  • Previous supervisory, leadership, or field operations experience.
  • Experience performing roadside assistance or basic vehicle maintenance.
  • Familiarity with GPS systems, cameras, and fleet management technology.
