Job description

Outbound Material Handler

The Outbound Material Handler is responsible for ensuring that all orders are picked, consolidated, packed, and shipped in a timely and accurate manner. These tasks must be completed to an efficient and accurate standard to ensure smooth outbound operations. This position requires the use of our internal warehouse systems and various warehouse equipment, which may include Powered Industrial Trucks.

Job Location: 111 Airpark Vista Blvd, Dayton, NV 89403

Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Retrieve items from racking accurately and efficiently, using our handheld scanning devices, completed on foot or using forklift equipment
  • Sort and consolidate picked items using handheld scanning devices, preparing customer orders for shipment processing
  • Pack products accurately and securely using our internal SPS system or CVP machines, focusing on providing an excellent customer experience
  • Bundle and verify orders for shipment, ensure order accuracy, and operate the bundler system
  • Load and stack packages into designated trailers, verify carriers, move palletized products as needed, and manage trailer lockout procedures
  • Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, and computers, following all established protocols and promoting safe working standards
  • Meet all expected performance standards regarding efficiency, accuracy and quality of work
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all safety guidelines and reporting any hazards to the appropriate leadership.
  • Work closely with team members and leadership to meet daily, weekly, and monthly departmental goals
  • Abide by all company and warehouse policies
  • Flex into other positions and departments and undertake additional duties as necessary to support the overall operation

Starting Wage is $23.50/hr, with the potential raise every 6 months of up to $0.88.

Physical Requirements
  • Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 12 hours/day.
  • Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
  • Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
  • Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
  • Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 75lbs.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Qualifications Experience
  • 1 year of relevant experience in a distribution environment; receiving and/or inventory experience preferred.
Education
