Operations Supervisor
Location: San Jose, CA
Salary: $100,000 - $110,000 annually
Bonus: Up to 15%

About the Role
As an Operations Supervisor, you'll be a key leader in our field operations, overseeing daily waste collection activities and ensuring safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This is a high-impact role with a clear path to advancement-ideal for someone eager to grow into senior leadership within 1-3 years.
What You'll Do
  • Lead and assign daily work to solid waste collection crews.
  • Monitor operations and adjust staffing as needed to meet service goals.
  • Conduct field inspections and safety audits to ensure compliance and best practices.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns related to collection services.
  • Coach and develop team members through performance reviews and feedback.
  • Support and implement safety initiatives and compliance programs (OSHA, environmental, local permits).
  • Set and execute short- and long-term operational goals.

What You Need to Succeed
  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
  • Experience in transportation, trucking, or logistics is required.
  • Experience working in a union environment is strongly preferred.
  • Class B CDL (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
  • Willingness to relocate for future promotional opportunities.
  • Strong communication skills-both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and business systems.
