Job Summary
FRESH IDEAS is hiring an energetic and growth-minded Director of Dining Services, to lead the HIGHER EDUCATION food service team at Shorter University. In this role, you are responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations for the campus dining account. You will manage and lead a team of associates. You will be responsible for managing client relations, along with ensuring that the food offered to the customers is of superior quality.
Living in Rome, Georgia offers small-city charm with access to cultural offerings and nearby cities. Cheer on the Rome Emperors Baseball team (Atlanta Braves affiliate) at AdventHealth Stadium, featuring full-service concessions and a fun, family-friendly atmosphere July through September. River Ratz Tubing & Kayak Tours offers scenic 2-3 hour excursions to paddle down the Etowah River. Etowah Park has playgrounds, ballfields, a skate park, walking trails, and picnic pavilions. Rome, GA offers a surprisingly varied and locally driven food scene-Southern comfort food, flavorful BBQ, internationally inspired menus, cozy cafés, and great dessert spots. Whether you're after shrimp and grits in a funky downtown spot or Mediterranean kebabs by the river, there's something delicious waiting for you. Rome, Georgia blends natural beauty, historical significance, local charm, and vibrant culture. Whether you're wandering riverside paths, soaking in history, or enjoying live performances, there's always something new to discover
Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain excellent relationships with customers, guests and client as well as other departments
  • Work with the Chef and management team in creating menus and providing top quality food
  • Oversee all P&L and budgeting as it pertains to the account
  • Roll out new culinary programs

Preferred Qualifications:
  • BS, Hospitality or Culinary degree preferred
  • Three to five years of foodservice operation experience
  • High volume production and catering experience is essential
  • Previous experience managing a budget
  • Desire to learn and grow with a top notch foodservice company
