Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for the direct sales process and achieving sales targets. Responsible for business development, sales expansion and introduction of new products and services to existing clients while maintaining and growing a book of business year over year. Service existing accounts and sell the organization's products and/or services to an assigned set of customers or a geographic region.  Reports directly to a Regional Sales Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Submits short and long-range sales plans and prepares sales strategies utilizing available marketing programs to reach nominated targets.
  • Responsible for retaining long-term customer relationships with established clients. Ensures that clients receive high-quality customer service.
  • Maintain post-sale contact with customers to facilitate a positive and productive long-term relationship.
  • Serve as the primary contact for the assigned customers. Enhance the company's position and reputation by properly servicing and corresponding with all assigned accounts in a dependable and timely manner.
  • Enhance customer relationships by working closely with customers on the development of targeted solutions and new business opportunities.
  • Prepare and submit sales reports and documentation regarding results, opportunities, and challenges in the sales territory. Analyze reports and data to identify revenue and cost containment opportunities.
  • Assist in the implementation and execution of products and services. Consult with customers to understand business issues and goals and works with the customer to develop improved solutions to business needs.
  • Prepare quote requests for the accounts assigned.
  • Maintain current industry knowledge.
  • Performs special projects and completes all other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the organization.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to functional work or role with up to 5 years of relevant work experience OR demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements through a comparable number of years of applicable work experience.
  • Able to translate previous work experience into very good problem-solving skills and appropriately apply proven solutions.
  • Consistently deliver prescribed outcomes in a timely and accurate manner with appropriate guidance.
  • Apply existing processes and procedures to solve problems and may receive guidance for problems that are non-routine.
  • Able to apply very good functional computer knowledge in utilizing Microsoft Windows, MAC or other technical tools to complete work assignments.
  • May require knowledge of, or ability to quickly learn specialized software related to the position such as CRM.
  • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Able to understand general business concepts and apply them when communicating with diverse groups of people when completing work assignments.
  • Valid Driver’s License
