Job description

Overview
Join our Insurance team as a Personal Lines Service Agent.

Responsibilities
Seek to educate prospects and clients on the value of a well- crafted insurance program. Promote a consultative approach to build credibility and establish relationships.
Adhere to objectives established in annual PL Service Goals
Anticipate and respond to customer needs in a timely and professional manner. Provide coverage solutions for changing exposures.
Enter customer information into proprietary agency management system, and continue to document account as required.
Underwrite accounts adhering to insurance carriers guidelines. Obtain Scoring, Motor Vehicle Reports and CLUE reports as appropriate.
Upload or forward submissions to carrier for issuance.
Provide support to Sales Team per structured workflow in Epic.
Review renewals, including offering remarketing when warranted, analyze policy coverages and make suggestions as appropriate, follow-up with companies and clients as needed
Process new business, renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and documents through agency management system and company web-based software
Receive and process premium payments, complying with appropriate workflow requirements.
Communicate and interact with clients and company personnel by phone, in person, or in writing
Adhere to workflow and departmental procedures, maintaining compliance with laws and regulations that apply to the position, including the Univest Code of Conduct
Perform additional duties as required
Qualifications
Salary Range for this position is $45,000-$50,000 annually.
P&C Insurance License obtained in the first 90 days of hire with base salary increase of $2,500
No insurance experience necessary
6 months training in the office and hybrid (Work from home 2 days per week) after successful training.
Current property and casualty license in Pennsylvania with a minimum of 1 year of customer service experience.
Thorough knowledge of personal lines insurance coverage and products, familiarity with ISO Personal Lines Manual and specific coverage forms
Knowledge of rate-making and proven ability to operate comparative rating software and navigate carrier sites to confirm pricing
Exhibits excellent communication, organization, problem solving, and PC skills, proficiency in multi-tasking
Professional appearance, positive attitude and team-focused mentality
