Job description

Overview
At Univest, we believe strong relationships build stronger communities. We're looking for a Government Banking Relationship Manager to help grow and support our municipal and public sector relationships across the markets we serve. In this role, you'll work with municipalities, counties, authorities, school districts and other government clients to understand their needs and connect them with thoughtful financial solutions.

Responsibilities
What you'll do
  • Build, develop and manage relationships with government and public sector clients, including municipalities, counties, authorities and school districts.
  • Grow deposits, expand client relationships and support assigned sales and cross-sell goals.
  • Identify new business opportunities through prospecting, networking and community involvement.
  • Partner with Treasury Management, Credit, Operations and other internal teams to deliver solutions that meet client needs.
  • Support RFP opportunities by gathering client insight, contributing to proposal strategy and helping align solutions with client goals.
  • Maintain an organized sales pipeline and keep opportunities updated in Salesforce.
  • Represent Univest at government, industry and community events to build visibility and strengthen relationships.
  • Stay accountable for compliance with applicable laws, regulations and the Univest Code of Conduct.

Qualifications
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who brings a strong mix of relationship-building, business development and public funds banking knowledge. You should have:
  • A bachelor's degree, preferably in business, finance, economics or a related field.
  • Five or more years of experience in government/public funds banking, commercial banking or financial services.
  • A proven ability to grow deposits, manage client relationships and meet sales goals.
  • Knowledge of public funds banking requirements, including collateralization, pledging and Act 72 compliance.
  • Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills, with confidence presenting to government officials and public sector leaders.
  • The ability to manage multiple client relationships, RFPs and pipeline opportunities at the same time.
  • Experience using Salesforce, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook.
  • An established government network within Univest's footprint, or the ability to quickly build one.
  • A proactive, organized and goal-oriented approach, with the ability to travel for client meetings, internal collaboration and industry events.

Wage Range:
The salary for this position ranges from $65,900 to $114,700
