Work Environment

The role is primarily remote, allowing counselors the flexibility to work from home while still connecting with clients through telehealth services. Our outpatient office serves a diverse range of clients, ensuring that counselors can provide tailored support to meet varying needs. The work schedule is structured to promote work-life balance, with no weekend commitments and opportunities for both full-time (Monday to Friday) and part-time (Monday to Saturday) work based on personal preferences and team needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to understand clients' individual needs and create tailored therapy strategies.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals, couples, families, and groups, utilizing methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused short-term therapy.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care, sharing insights and progress with fellow professionals to enhance client treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate clinical records in alignment with ethical and professional standards, while ensuring compliance with relevant laws.
• Engage in continuous professional development, attending workshops and training sessions to stay updated on best practices and advancements in mental health treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will encompass working with a diverse client base, including individuals facing mental health challenges, couples seeking support in their relationships, and families navigating complex dynamics. The aim is to provide a compassionate and understanding environment where clients can feel safe to explore their mental health concerns. Your expertise will be pivotal in guiding them towards recovery and improved well-being.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree or Doctorate in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of New Jersey.
• A minimum of two years of counseling experience, ideally in a clinical setting, demonstrating a proactive approach to client care.
• Strong understanding of legal and ethical considerations in mental health practice, coupled with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and client trust.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to build rapport and effectively collaborate with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance misuse support is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in a variety of therapeutic techniques and a willingness to adapt approaches based on client needs.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from $70,000 to $110,000 annually, complemented by performance-based bonuses.
