Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to develop tailored therapeutic strategies for clients, ensuring that each individual receives the most effective treatment.
• Provide evidence-based therapy sessions to clients in various formats, including individuals, couples, families, and groups.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy to address a range of mental health issues.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care plans that address all facets of client well-being.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation, adhering to ethical and legal standards of practice.
• Engage in continuous professional development through workshops, seminars, and training to stay abreast of the latest advancements in mental health treatment and research.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse population, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Clients may range from children and adolescents to adults and families, each bringing unique challenges that require empathetic and tailored therapeutic approaches. Your ability to establish strong therapeutic alliances will be integral in helping these clients improve their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in New Jersey.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in counseling or a mental health setting.
• Demonstrated expertise in providing therapy to individuals and families, with a clear understanding of diagnostic criteria and treatment modalities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect and build rapport with a wide range of clients.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization in areas such as family therapy, trauma, substance abuse treatment, or support for couples is highly desired.
• A solid understanding of ethical and legal considerations in mental health practice.
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
