Description
Tulane University School of Medicine is seeking a motivated clinician/educator or a physician scientist at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. We are seeking the following services; pulmonary diseases, critical care medicine and interventional pulmonology.
Our section of pulmonary and critical care medicine is a collaborative group that consists of 28 clinical and research faculty. Our faculty members provide services at East Jefferson General Hospital, University Medical Center and a contemporary tertiary VA. Our combined hospitals share a training program that includes 14 pulmonary/critical care fellows. Unique research opportunities include a close working relationship with the School of Public Health, Department of Immunology, Center for Aging, Biomedical Engineering and the Tulane Primate Center. Extensive Tulane University programs for career development are in place. Early faculty working toward a research career will be afforded significant protected time for research.
Tulane University Hospital, The Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System, and University Medical Center are located adjacent to each other in downtown New Orleans, Louisiana. New Orleans is a city steeped in culture and diversity.
