Mechanic

Transdev in Xenia, OH is seeking a Mechanic to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining gasoline engines across various vehicles and equipment. As a Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our vehicles.

Transdev is proud to offer:

• Competitive compensation package of $23.00/hr – $25.00/hr

Benefits include:

• Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks

• Sick days: 5 days

• Holidays: 12 days; 8 standard and 4 floating

Key Responsibilities:

· Perform repairs and replacement parts on Fleet of Light Transit Vehicles and Ford Transits - gas engines, ensuring optimal functionality.

· Assist A-Level and B-Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks, contributing to efficient workflow.

· Execute routine preventative maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize engine performance.

· Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on engines, including assisting with overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.

• Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

· 2 years of experience as a Mechanic

· 21 yrs old · ASE certifications preferred for new hires - not required to apply. ASE certification program provided with monetary incentive

· Mechanic’s own Tool Set

· Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.

• The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent stooping, standing on cement - navigating stairs and working in a shop environment

• Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors all seasons. Assist with Accident Scenes and Road Calls

• Utilize PPE maintaining a safe, clean working environment

• Schedules might change from time to time with seasons
