Job description

About the Role:

The Training Specialist partners with the Global Training Manager, ForMotion leaders, HRBPs, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify development needs, build training plans and models, create and maintain learning resources, and support delivery of learning solutions. The role focuses on practical execution and scalable learning solutions aligned to global training strategy, regional business priorities, capability needs, and operational realities.

This global role has an initial Americas-centered focus and requires schedule flexibility to support stakeholders across regions, including occasional meetings with European colleagues outside standard working hours. The role supports global and regional L&D initiatives while helping translate business needs into practical resources that can be adopted consistently across clinics, teams, and distributed work environments.

This position is ideal for an L&D practitioner who thrives in business partnership, facilitation support, stakeholder relationship-building, and hands-on content development, and who applies adult learning principles and structured design methods to deliver measurable learning outcomes.

What You'll Do:

1) Business Partnership & Needs Assessment

Build strong partnerships with ForMotion leaders, HRBPs, and SMEs to identify development needs, learning priorities, skill gaps, and priority audiences across the Americas business.

Surface emerging needs, themes, and risks to the Global Training Manager for prioritization and alignment with global and regional L&D priorities.

Translate business needs into training approaches, including onboarding, technical/clinical learning, leadership, operations, compliance-related development, and role-based capability support, as applicable.

Build stakeholder relationships that support adoption of learning solutions and ensure training resources are practical, relevant, and usable in the business.

2) Training Design, Plans & Models

Co-design learning solutions with SMEs using structured instructional design practices and adult learning principles.

Develop training plans that clarify objectives, audience, modality, reinforcement strategy, stakeholder roles, and measurement approach.

Contribute to scalable program models such as Train-the-Trainer (TtT), facilitator guides, toolkits, role-based onboarding plans, and repeatable delivery playbooks.

Support the creation and upkeep of a training calendar/framework aligned to annual planning and evolving business priorities; triage quick wins versus longer-build solutions in coordination with the Global Training Manager.

3) Content Creation & Learning Asset Management

Create, refine, and maintain learning assets including facilitator guides, participant materials, job aids, slide decks, practice activities, assessments, workflow supports, and microlearning.

Maintain centralized documentation of learning assets, facilitator materials, program versions, and supporting resources to ensure consistency, version control, and scalability.

Ensure learning materials can be delivered consistently and effectively across sites/teams and are easy for facilitators and business stakeholders to adopt.

Translate learning concepts into clinic workflow realities, ensuring content reflects operational constraints and day-to-day execution environments.

4) Facilitation, Delivery Support & Adoption

Facilitate sessions as needed, virtual and/or in-person, adapting delivery to audience needs and ensuring active learner participation and application.

Provide delivery support for completed trainings, including session readiness, facilitator coaching, logistics coordination, learner communications, stakeholder follow-up, and reinforcement tactics.

Build and sustain a network of SMEs, facilitators, and champions to support delivery capacity, adoption, and continuous improvement.

Identify adoption barriers and recommend practical adjustments to improve training use and consistency in the field.

5) People-Related Projects, Change Support & Measurement

Participate in people-related projects and change management initiatives where training, communication, stakeholder readiness, or reinforcement support is needed.

Partner with the Global Training Manager to define and track training effectiveness metrics, including participation, learner feedback, knowledge gain, on-the-job application, and business impact where feasible.

Gather feedback from learners, SMEs, HRBPs, and leaders; iterate content and delivery methods based on data, stakeholder feedback, and operational insight.

Who You Are :

Bachelor's degree in HR, Education, Organizational Development, Psychology, Business, or related field.

3 to 5 years of progressive experience in Talent Development, Learning & Development, Training, Organizational Development, or related roles.

Demonstrated success partnering with business stakeholders, HRBPs, and SMEs to identify development needs and deliver practical learning solutions.

Experience supporting global, regional, or distributed learning initiatives preferred.

Strong facilitation capability, virtual and/or in-person, including guiding discussions and enabling skill practice.

Proven content creation experience, including designing, building, updating, and maintaining learning materials and learner-facing assets.

Working knowledge of adult learning principles and structured instructional design methods.

Experience supporting people-related projects, change initiatives, healthcare, field operations, or distributed workforce environments preferred.

Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time as needed for delivery.
