Job description

Quality Assurance Technician - Syrup, 3rd Shift
We are seeking that person that equally enjoys working in a lab, AND on the production floor! You come to us with some experience in Food Safety amp; Quality and are excited to grow your expertise. The QA technician’s role is to ensure that the products are manufactured following the GMPs, Food Safety/HACCP plan and quality plans developed by Torani and meets regulatory and GFSI (SQF) standards.
You are someone who relishes helping others embrace positive change, and with your collaborative spirit this comes naturally to you! Understanding that Quality Assurance is a support function to manufacturing, you help ensure production is set up to successfully produce high quality products and have fun along the way! At the heart of staying current with new food safety regulations, you will help Torani produce all the delicious, high-quality products our customers crave!
SUCCESS FACTORS (First 12-18 Months):
  • Manufacturing Line Support: Food Safety and Quality are always front of mind! Our line team sees you as a trusted advisor on Quality. You will have spent the time getting to know each of our team members, and you will have a deep understanding of every process, role, and piece of equipment. You are performing GMPs inspections, line checks, and reviewing SOPs we have in place to ensure our procedures are accurate and support our goal of First Time Quality (FTQ).
  • Quality Assurance amp; Documentation: Quality systems are embedded in every step of our production, and you assist with keeping them alive! You inspect packaging amp; ingredients to ensure a high level of quality. Additionally, you help ensure that all products go through our positive release process. You will become a product sensory guru—you know all our flavors! Investigating customer feedback, you provide written analysis of your findings and conclusions. You lead the calibration program, ensuring our measuring equipment is accurate. All documentation, including daily paperwork, and record reviews are organized, filed and easy to reference. Any anomalies in our records are quickly identified and addressed. Conduct daily sensory analysis and quality control checks of finished products for positive release.
  • Audit Support: You are ready for audits! As you grow your knowledge in our quality systems and processes, you will be integral to ensure Torani is audit ready all of the time. You will work closely with internal and external teams to fill any gaps and make sure we pass all audits with flying colors. From reviewing SOPs, recommending improvements, and driving them to resolution, you engage in every facet of our audits! Additionally, you will help train our team on GMPs, and other food safety amp; quality related topics to help support our strong culture of food safety amp; quality and maintain GFSI (SQF) standards.
  • Communication: Effectively and efficiently ensures that others are made aware of pertinent information verbally and in writing. Passionate about keeping everyone "in the loop.”
  • Safety: Safety Comes First! Looks at work through a lens of safety for themselves and fellow team members. Maintains a safe and enjoyable work environment with the goal of preventing safety incidents. Reports safety issues promptly, provides recommendations, and helps implement amp; communicate changes.
  • Have Fun!
