  • The internship program runs from May - August 2026
  • Co-ops run from May - December 2026

Terracon's internship program gives students the opportunity to turn classroom learning into meaningful, realworld experience while working alongside professionals who are shaping the built environment. Interns are trusted to contribute to real client projects, gain exposure across Terracon's service lines, and develop practical consulting skills with the guidance of a dedicated mentor. Through handson work, professional development, and connection with peers nationwide, interns build confidence, expand their networks, and learn what it means to be an employee owner. The program prepares students to launch their careers with industryrelevant experience, a strong professional foundation, and a clear path for future growth.
  • Currently pursuing a BS or MS in a relevant engineering or science discipline
  • Strong interest in consulting and fieldwork
  • Eagerness to learn and collaborate
  • High school diploma and BS degree in progress in a science or related field (environmental, safety, engineering, chemistry, biology, geology). The ideal candidate will have less than one year remaining to complete their BS degree.

What You'll Do:

  • Work alongside experienced engineers and technicians in the field and lab
  • Participate in real-world projects and client interactions
  • Learn technical skills including sampling, testing, data analysis, and report writing
  • Receive mentorship and career guidance from industry professionals
  • Join a national intern cohort and present to executive leadership
  • Environmental interns receive paid 40-hour safety training before starting
