About the job

This is a dual-role position. You will serve as both our primary estimator and a client-facing sales representative. If you can read a set of plans in the morning, price out materials by lunch, and sit across from a GC in the afternoon and command the room — we want to talk to you

Responsibilities

● Perform detailed takeoffs for commercial and residential projects, including reading and interpreting architectural plans and specifications

● Accurately price materials for all roofing systems — TPO, EPDM, low-slope, steep-slope, shingles, metal, and more

● Prepare and submit competitive bids and proposals in a timely manner

● Maintain organized job notes and documentation throughout the estimating and sales process

● Communicate professionally with clients, architects, project managers, and general contractors — in person, by phone, and via email

● Manage pipeline using CRM software and maintain accurate, up-to-date records

● Work proficiently in Microsoft Excel for pricing, tracking, and reporting

● Learn and adopt new estimating software and AI-powered tools as the company integrates them into our workflow

● Stay current on material costs, supplier pricing, and product availability

Requirements

● MINIMUM 5 YEARS of hands-on roofing industry experience — hard requirement, absolutely no exceptions

● Proven knowledge of both commercial and residential roofing systems and materials

● Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, blueprints, and project specifications

● Strong computer skills — Excel, CRM platforms, estimating software

● Comfortable learning and using new technology, including AI tools

● Professional communication and presentation skills — this is a client-facing role

● Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

● Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized with a strong, consistent work ethic

Applicants without documented roofing industry experience will not be considered.

What We Offer

● Competitive base salary + commission structure

● Paid Time Off (PTO)

● Vehicle allowance provided

● Gas card provided

● Monthly sales credit for customer appreciation

● A stable, growing company that values your expertise and experience

● Diverse mix of commercial and residential projects to keep the work challenging and rewarding
