Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Innovation Project Manager to lead cross-functional product development initiatives from concept through launch. This role is responsible for driving project execution, coordinating with multiple functional teams, and ensuring new products are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives. The ideal candidate is a proactive project manager with strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills, as well as experience working in manufacturing or operations-driven environments.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, milestones, and deliverables for new product development initiatives.
  • Prioritize projects in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure successful execution.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
  • Coordinate project activities across departments to ensure alignment with established timelines and objectives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Operations, Research & Development, Marketing, Sales, and other internal teams to ensure smooth execution of product development projects.
  • Facilitate effective communication between stakeholders to address dependencies, resolve issues, and maintain project momentum.
  • Lead regular project status meetings and provide updates on timelines, risks, and deliverables.
  • Ensure alignment between product innovation, manufacturing capabilities, and launch readiness.

Product Launch & Sales Support

  • Support product launch planning by coordinating cross-functional activities and ensuring readiness across teams.
  • Provide timely project updates and product information to sales and commercial teams.
  • Coordinate vendor onboarding and ensure all required documentation and setup processes are completed accurately.
  • Assist in the preparation of launch materials and support successful product commercialization.

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve project management processes and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Promote best practices in project planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product development efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects, preferably within manufacturing, operations, or product development environments.
  • Proven experience coordinating projects involving Operations, R&D, Marketing, and Sales teams.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage complex project timelines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience using project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Asana, Smartsheet, Monday.com, Jira, or similar platforms.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting new product development (NPD) or product commercialization initiatives.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and cross-functional operational workflows.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a strong focus on execution and continuous improvement.
