Location
This position will be primarily based out of our Phoenix facilities at 2610 South 21st Street, Phoenix, AZ 85034 Though pending business needs could slide to other AZ sites.
Shift Schedule (Current as of posting, but is subject to change pending business needs)
First Shift Monday-Friday 06:00AM - 02:30PM with potential for additional hours pending business needs.
This position could have a pending schedule adjustment from the above, feel free to ask during interview.
Position Description
The maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment. These duties are to be conducted in accordance with safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of business goals and objectives.
Essential Functions
* Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain both production machines and facility equipment at the main site as well as satellite sites.
* Execute challenging mechanical tasks on a wide range of production and facility equipment that require mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair skills.
* Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
* Perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine TPM outages.
* Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment.
* Perform building and grounds related tasks to maintain the safety, functionality, and general upkeep of each facility.
* Coordinate with contractors, obtain quotes, and manage contractors during onsite work.
* Read and interpret equipment documents (i.e., manuals, schematics, diagrams, etc.) as well as internal work orders to perform the required service.
* Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make appropriate adjustments until acceptable solution has been achieved.
* Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.
* Detect faulty operations, defective material, or other abnormal situations and report observations to proper supervision or intervening immediately if personnel or equipment safety is at risk.
* Perform Root Cause Failure Analysis to identify the true cause of a failure, fix the problem, and prevent the issue from recurring.
* Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas to 5S standards.
* Take on other duties or assist in other departments as business needs change.
* Receive direction from supervisor and execute all tasks as directed.
* Work well in a team, collaborating with and supporting maintenance technicians, operators, engineers, and other SRC employees to perform daily duties.
* Work well alone, without any supervision, and still execute efficiently at a high level.
* Work at least 1 Saturday a month, and possibly more as business needs dictate.
* Potential to temporarily work 2nd shift (hours 3:30pm-2:00am) in order to complete work outside of production hours, and willing to make temporary schedule shifts to cover teammates PTO (i.e., vacations, illnesses, appointments, etc.).
* Flex break and lunch schedules to accommodate production and facility needs.
Requirements
Required Skills
* Able to safely lift objects weighing up to 50lbs unassisted.
* Able to stand for long periods & stoop/bend/push/pull frequently.
* Embodies SRC values (i.e., Teamwork, Problem Solving, Integrity, Relationships, and Excellence).
* 4+ years of manufacturing experience; with strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with some Electrical and PLC understanding.
* High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.
* Clear and effective communication skills verbal, written, and typed across all levels of the organization (able to receive and give).
* Possess a basic understanding of math.
* Able to follow directions of supervisor.
* Open to constructive criticism and makes proper adjustments to feedback.
* Team player, possessing a positive attitude in the face of challenges.
* Resourceful and finds a way to safely solve new or unique challenges.
* Eager to learn new information and techniques to improve craft as well as understand all aspects of coil manufacturing process.
• Stable and reliable attendance
o A pattern of Late Ins, Early Outs, Unexcused Call Outs, etc. is not acceptable.
• Strong positive work ethic
o Have a good history of safe work practices, focus on quality, and steady efficiency.
o Personal errors in your specific department can happen, what is important is if you were able to learn from an error and move forward in a positive manner.
• Must pass medical pre-screen with physical and background check.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
