Job description
Location: On-site, Curwansville, PA
Job Type: Full Time / Permanent
Work Authorization: No C2C or Sponsorship
The A.C.Coy company has an immediate opening for a Purchasing Agent to support a growing, specialty manufacturer. Ideal candidates will have several years of experience in a purchasing role for a manufacturing facility with exposure to vendor relations and inventory control.
- Source raw materials, equipment, supplies, and other services for the unique needs of the manufacturing facility
- Establish strong relationships with current and new vendors to secure competitive pricing and a reliable supply chain
- Review and negotiate vendor contracts, proposals, and vendor pricing
- Review inventory, track shipments, and prevent material shortages
Education Required:
- Associate degree in a related field
Experience Required:
- 5 or more years in a purchasing role within a manufacturing environment
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with PowerBI is preferred
- Strong negotiation skills with demonstrated ability to own the full purchasing process
**Some travel required for industry conferences or vendor visits
