Job description

Position Summary
The Sr. Purchasing, Shipping & Receiving Supervisor manages the Demopolis warehouse, loading dock and trailer yard to ensure that all shipping and receiving functions are timely and accurate. Additionally, they support Foster Farms' mission vision, and ACTION guiding principles: Accountability, Collaboration, Truth-Seeking, Initiative, Ownership, and Nimbleness
Essential Functions
  • Train, guide and develop the loading dock team members and second shift supervisor
  • Responsible for all inventory data including finished goods, materials and ingredients in EWM and MII systems
  • Oversee the purchasing of all materials and ingredients to ensure uninterrupted supply to the plant.
  • Provide a high level of serviceability to the production team to support daily requirements and accurate inventory.
  • Manage loading dock workload, schedule time
  • Approve requisitions for purchasing
  • Assure proper handling, identification and disposition of all items received at the warehouse
  • Maintain high serviceability levels to Demopolis plant
  • Control inventory accuracy through proper recording of issues and receiving practices
  • Manage vendors and outside issues
  • Remove obsolete or defective materials from plant access
  • Schedule backhaul from certain packaging materials
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Must have a minimum of years of experience in Scheduling or Materials Management and previous leadership experience.
  • Must have the ability to work independently with strong organizational skills
  • Must have good interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written skills
  • Must have excellent math skills
  • Must be proficient in Windows environment, especially Excel and Word
  • Must possess strong analytical skills
  • Must be detail oriented and accurate
  • Must be able to submit and pass criminal background check
