Human Resources Manager
The Human Resources Manager at the Wylder Hospitality Group oversees the people function across the entire restaurant group: recruiting and staffing, employee relations, compliance, benefits and compensation, training and leadership development, and workplace safety. In order to be successful in these responsibilities, the Human Resources Manager must love the restaurant business, exude the core values, and lead with heart and humor.
Requirements:
  • Love the restaurant industry
  • Partner with the COO and unit-level leadership on employee relations matters, including investigations and conflict resolution
  • Ensure compliance with federal and Idaho employment law, including wage and hour, ADA and Idaho Human Rights Act accommodations, harassment and discrimination investigations, and I-9/E-Verify recordkeeping
  • Partnership with Office Managers and first-line managers in maintaining staffing levels across all units through:
    • Job Postings & Recruitment
    • New Hire Orientation
    • Performance Evaluations
  • Develop and maintain the employee handbook, HR policies, and standard operating procedures
  • Administer employee benefits and leave programs in partnership with the Office Manager
  • Develop and maintain educational and leadership development programs for staff and managers
  • Identify & Develop Future leaders
  • Advise and support unit-level managers on disciplinary actions, performance plans, and terminations
  • Maintain personnel records and HR compliance documentation
  • Oversee workplace safety programs in partnership with unit leadership
  • Track and report on HR metrics, including turnover, retention, and time-to-fill
  • Hold regular leadership meetings on HR initiatives and workforce planning
  • Manage HR budget and vendor relationships, including benefits brokers, background check vendors, and HRIS
  • Develop and maintain a fun and professional work environment
  • Literacy in Computers, HRIS systems, and Basic Math
  • Strong skills of observation and sound judgment
  • Good problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Great oral and written communication
  • Exceptional follow-through skills and discretion with confidential information
  • Minimum of 5 years of Human Resources experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification required; SPHR or SHRM-SCP preferred

Essential Functions
  • Frequently travels between restaurant locations across the group
  • Frequently operates computers, phones, tablets, and HRIS/payroll systems
  • Constantly communicates with staff, managers, and leadership, often regarding sensitive and confidential matters
  • Frequently conducts private conversations and investigations requiring discretion and composure
  • Occasionally works on the restaurant floor to observe team dynamics and culture
  • Occasionally moves and organizes physical personnel files and documentation
