Job description

ServiceMaster by Singer

Baltimore / Maryland Region
Full-Time Leadership Position | Emergency Services Industry

ServiceMaster by Singer is seeking an operational leader to manage our Specialty Cleaning & Contents Division. This department supports residential and commercial property losses through contents restoration, specialty cleaning, pack-out/pack-back, field packing and moving, deodorization, post-construction cleaning, infection-control cleaning, contents storage, and related restoration services.

This is a hands-on operational leadership role involving approximately 55% operational management and coordination and 45% field oversight, production validation, employee development, and customer support.

We work in chaotic environments, but we do not operate chaotically. The right leader must create structure, maintain standards, develop people, solve problems, and support customers during stressful situations while keeping operations organized and moving forward.

This role is supported by Internal Operations, Warehouse Leadership, Purchasing, Estimating, Resource Management, and Ownership support systems. This is not a one-person-does-everything environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily specialty cleaning, contents restoration, pack-out/pack-back, field operations, contents storage, and production workflow.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, workflow, production priorities, and department performance.
  • Supervise the Contents Cleaning & Warehouse Manager and department personnel.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Internal Operations, Estimators, Purchasing, and Ownership.
  • Ensure quality control, inventory accountability, chain-of-custody documentation, and customer property protection.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and resolve customer concerns professionally.
  • Monitor labor efficiency, workflow performance, production quality, and department profitability.
  • Support employee development, accountability, certifications, and operational growth.
  • Maintain department safety standards, cleanliness, organization, and operational readiness.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a leader who can show measurable results they and their teams have achieved through field operations accountability, process improvement, employee development, customer service, and disciplined execution in fast-changing environments.

Strong candidates should be able to explain:

  • what they improved,
  • how they measured success,
  • what challenges they faced,
  • and how they worked with employees and leadership to create better operational results.

We understand that operational leadership is built through experience, challenges, problem solving, and continuous improvement.

Restoration experience is helpful, but not required for the right operational leader.

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership or management experience in field operations, emergency services, construction, logistics, specialty cleaning, restoration, moving/storage, or related service-based operations.
  • Experience leading mobile or multi-site teams where employees perform work away from direct daily supervision.
  • Ability to manage workflow, employee accountability, scheduling changes, customer expectations, labor efficiency, and quality control.
  • Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Willingness to learn restoration systems, improve processes, and develop employees.
  • IICRC certifications such as WRT, FSRT, or OCT preferred, or willingness to obtain.
  • Clean driving record and ability to meet company driving requirements.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation based on experience, leadership ability, operational results, and overall fit for the role.

Compensation includes:

  • Base salary
  • Performance incentives

Benefits include:

  • $500 monthly vehicle allowance
  • Business fuel expenses and EZ Pass
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Short-term disability
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Company phone provided

Company Description

ServiceMaster by Singer is a family-owned disaster restoration and construction company serving Maryland, Washington DC, Delaware, and Southern Pennsylvania.
