  • Coordinate and support onboarding activities to facilitate a smooth and successful transition for new employees into the organization.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, employee questions, vendor coordination, and related reporting.
  • Manage and track employee leaves of absence, including FMLA, CFRA, disability, workers’ compensation-related leaves, personal leaves, and other applicable leave programs.
  • Support the semi-monthly payroll process by reviewing payroll-related data, coordinating with third-party payroll providers, and ensuring timely transmission of files to and from vendors.
  • Respond to employee and manager inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, payroll, onboarding, leaves of absence, and general employment matters.
  • Support HR compliance activities, including required reporting, employee notices, personnel file maintenance, policy updates, and HR documentation.
  • Administer and monitor required employee training through web-based learning systems, including compliance-related training.
  • Support performance management, employee training and development, and other employee lifecycle activities.
  • Maintain accurate HRIS, payroll, benefits, and employee data and records.
  • Partner with managers to support staffing needs, employee communications, policy interpretation, and HR best practices.
  • Assist with HR audits, projects, process improvements, and system updates.
  • Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive employee information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Perform additional HR, compliance, and business-related duties as assigned.

  • Practical problem-solving ability with a hands-on, solutions-oriented approach.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with employees, managers, vendors, and leadership.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google applications, and HR systems.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality while working effectively with a diverse employee population.
  • Ability to perform standard office duties, including working at a computer for extended periods.
  • Ability to travel as needed to support company locations, meetings, audits, or employee-related matters.
  • Hands-on experience processing payroll from start to finish
  • Hands-on experience processing multi-state payroll
  • Direct payroll processing experience is required; experience limited to managing or overseeing payroll functions does not meet this requirement
  • Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance
