This role involves analyzing customer research, market conditions, and competitor data to adjust marketing strategies, as well as hiring, coaching, and managing the sales team in their territories. What we’re looking for in a Business Development Manager:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of recent sales experience in healthcare, in home health or hospice care recommended.
  • Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license recommended.
  • Formal sales training.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement effective sales and marketing plans.
  • Track record of achieving referral goals in the market.
  • Experienced manager with the ability to mentor and develop team members.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and committed to professionalism.
  • Proficient in community networking.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Reliable transportation with a current PA driver’s license and minimum required auto insurance.

What you’ll do as a Business Development Manager:

  • Referral Generation: Lead efforts to generate referrals from physicians, healthcare facilities, and partner agencies for home and community services, ensuring a steady flow of opportunities.
  • Strategic Development: Conduct market analysis and develop comprehensive sales strategies, goals, and plans, while guiding the team towards achieving these objectives.
  • Service Marketing: Promote all aspects of home and community services to physician offices and healthcare facilities, enhancing visibility and engagement.
  • Team Oversight: Monitor the marketing team’s performance by conducting sales calls, evaluating results, and assessing the effectiveness of their activities.
  • Relationship Building: Strengthen existing relationships within current markets and cultivate new connections through innovative marketing approaches.
  • Budget Management: Ensure departmental costs are maintained within budgetary constraints, promoting financial responsibility.
  • Event Participation: Engage in promotional events as needed, including the setup and breakdown of promotional materials for sales and charity initiatives.
  • Positive Representation: Foster a positive image of the agency by initiating and sustaining effective business relationships within the communities served.
  • Collaborative Relationships: Maintain effective working relationships both internally and externally, supporting the organization’s operations and business objectives.
  • Referral Opportunity Management: Keep management informed of relevant referral opportunities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Marketing Leadership: Manage the Marketing Department/Network of Marketers in a results-driven environment, focused on achieving challenging goals and monitoring outcomes.
  • Production Coordination: Oversee marketing production and manage media buying and planning to optimize outreach efforts.
