    Job description

    Warehouse Inventory Specialist

    Pay: Starting at $22 per hour depending on experience

Headquartered in Cincinnati, we service our clients throughout Ohio, Kentucky, Southeast Indiana and West Virginia through a network of regional locations, including Columbus and Louisville.

    Position Overview

    Under the guidance of the Shop Operations Manager, the Warehouse Shipping and Inventory Specialist's primary responsibility is to perform shipping, receiving, and inventory management functions in the shop and warehouse facilities for inbound and outbound company equipment, used, rental, and dock & door products while helping to ensure an effective and efficient workflow. All duties must be accomplished in a timely manner to the highest level of quality while maintaining a safe and orderly work environment.

    Key Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

    • Load and unload equipment (trucks, batteries, chargers, dock and door equipment, etc.) and other materials for inbound and outbound deliveries and match BOL to inventory.
    • Communicate with shop operations, sales and rental coordination for shipping and delivery verification and all activity.
    • Optimize the movement, storage, and processing of inventory to reduce errors and ensure an effective flow of activities. Develop and implement process and procedures to drive accuracy.
    • Ensure all inventory is properly marked/tagged and in the correct location in the warehouse and consolidated for POW customer delivery.
    • ASEC and shop 5S activities related to warehouse improvement projects.
    • Position/stage/charge equipment in the warehouse and consolidate orders for installation crew.
    • Inspecting, verifying, and accepting a shipment into inventory with quality control focus.
    • Identify any missing or damaged equipment and communicate to shop operations and sales coordination within required timeframes.
    • Receive LTL shipments and notify person that ordered.
    • Palletize, band, label and schedule LTL shipments.
    • Perform general facility maintenance and upkeep as required. Including but not limited to keeping warehouse floors clean, emptying trash & recycling cans as needed, and general cleaning of warehouse following established shine schedules.
    • Serve as a backup/support to the Parts team on lift truck tire pressing for van replenishment, work orders, & customer orders.
    • Monitor propane cage.
    • Organize equipment upon receipt with asset ID label and organize scrap equipment to be disposed.
    • Maintain a neat and orderly facility and identify equipment for transport as required.
    • Dump oil from shop, crush oil filters, and puncture spray cans for disposal.
    • Charge and Equalize batteries.
    • Keep renewed and demo area clean, with trucks straight and dusted.
    • Provide general assistance to Shop and Parts teams, assisting shop techs with minor repairs as required.
    • Additional duties or projects as assigned by Manager.

    Qualifications

    • One year of shipping & receiving and/or warehouse inventory experience
    • Must be able to operate material handling equipment, including forklifts
    • Must be able to load/unload materials on semis and flatbed trailers
    • High school diploma, general education degree (GED), and/or technical school minimum
    • Must be able to work effectively and multitask in a fast-paced environment
    • Must be able to safely lift up to 70 pounds unassisted.
    • Must be willing and able to work in warehouse environment, on feet majority of time
    • Familiarity with Dock & Door equipment is a plus
    • Must have basic computer skills
    • Must have good communication skills
    • Must have strong organizational skills
    • Must be detail-oriented
    • Must work well independently and in team environment
    • Must be a driven and self-motivated individual
    • General mechanical aptitude is a plus
