Work Environment

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to establish a clear understanding of each client’s mental health needs, culminating in personalized treatment plans crafted with the client's specific goals in mind.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions across various modalities, including individual, group, and family therapy sessions. You will draw from recognized therapeutic practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused therapy.
  • Collaborate closely with case managers, psychiatrists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care, addressing both mental and physical health needs of clients.
  • Respond promptly to crisis situations, utilizing your expertise to offer immediate support and intervention, thereby helping clients navigate acute distress effectively.
  • Engage in proactive outreach initiatives to enhance community awareness and understanding of mental health issues, thereby working to diminish stigma associated with seeking help.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will significantly impact a diverse range of clients at our Detox Center, where you will encounter individuals from various ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds. This role requires a deep commitment to cultural competence as you adapt your approaches to meet the unique needs of each individual seeking assistance.

Qualifications
  • Must hold an independent, active license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
  • A master's degree or doctoral degree in a relevant field such as Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build effective therapeutic relationships with a diverse clientele.
  • Proficiency in cultural sensitivity, allowing for effective engagement with clients from varied backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational and time-management capabilities to ensure timely documentation and adherence to treatment protocols.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in a detox setting or with clients experiencing substance abuse issues will be highly valued.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, specifically those tailored for mental health service providers.
  • Routine participation in professional development and continuing education opportunities to stay informed about best practices and evolving trends in mental health treatment.
