The DevOps Engineer serves as the technical lead for complex technology implementations within a product-centric environment. This role bridges our client between development and operations teams by fostering a shared culture, implementing modern DevOps practices, and providing developers with the tools and platforms necessary to deliver high-quality solutions. The engineer is responsible for ensuring system performance, scalability, reliability, and availability across cloud and enterprise platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and manage cloud services utilizing Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) providers, including:
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Rackspace/OpenStack
• Configure, maintain, and optimize Linux-based server environments supporting dynamic web applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues within distributed and cluster-based computing architectures.
• Develop scripts and automation solutions to streamline system administration and deployment processes.
• Install, configure, and maintain open-source monitoring and observability tools.
• Implement and manage configuration management solutions such as:
  • Ansible
  • Puppet
  • Chef
  • Salt
• Design and implement:
  • Continuous Integration (CI)
  • Continuous Deployment/Delivery (CD)
  • Continuous Monitoring solutions
• Utilize containerization and orchestration technologies, including:
  • Docker
  • LXC
  • Rocket (rkt)
• Support application deployments and operations across multiple environments.

Required Technical Skills

DevOps & Infrastructure

• Experience in deployment engineering, network operations, and systems administration.
• Strong scripting, coding, automation, and application deployment capabilities.
• Experience configuring and managing Linux Slackware web servers.
• Knowledge of coding and automation tools used to improve software planning, testing, deployment, and operations.

Software Development

• Experience developing custom solutions using:

• Experience developing applications for Android platforms.

Salesforce Development

• Strong hands-on Salesforce experience including:

Cloud Architecture

General Experience

• Minimum seven (7) years of experience supporting complex technology implementations in a product-centric environment.

Education Requirements

Required Education

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
