Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to provide personalized therapy strategies for clients.
• Deliver group, family, couple, and individual therapy sessions grounded in evidence-based practices, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused short-term therapy.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate clinical records, adhering to ethical and legal standards to protect client confidentiality.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, which may include social workers, nursing staff, and case managers, to ensure a well-rounded approach to client care.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops and training sessions to stay abreast of the latest advancements in mental health research and therapeutic practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The LPC will work with a varied client base, predominantly individuals and families who may have limited access to mental health resources. Our clients often face challenges related to anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. As a counselor, you will play a crucial role in empowering clients by guiding them through their therapeutic journeys and advocating for their mental health needs.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field is required.
• Active and unrestricted professional counselor licensure (LPC) in New Jersey.
• A minimum of two years of counseling experience, preferably in a clinical environment.
• In-depth understanding of legal and ethical guidelines pertinent to mental health practice.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills that foster open communication and rapport-building with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and relevant mental health technologies.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, substance use disorders, or trauma-informed care is highly desirable.
• Experience with community health settings or service delivery to underserved populations is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive annual salary ranging between USD 70,000 and 90,000, commensurate with experience and caseload management.
