Work Environment

As a part of our fully remote team, you will engage with clients through a secure online platform that facilitates video and text communication. Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your main responsibilities will include:

• Conducting individual video therapy sessions to support clients navigating various mental health challenges.
• Facilitating discussions that encourage clients to articulate their feelings and experiences, leading to greater self-awareness and insight.
• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that incorporate solution-focused strategies, grounded in your clinical expertise and knowledge.
• Acting as a strong advocate for clients, helping them define personal goals and identify pathways to achieve those objectives.
• Providing ongoing assessment of client progress and adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your focus will be on working with stable, low-acuity adults who present with a range of mental health needs, including anxiety, depression, stress, and life transitions. As you build a rapport with your clients, you will foster a safe space for healing and growth, addressing their unique concerns and histories.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Mental Health Counseling.
• Current licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Demonstrated proficiency in electronic health record systems and teletherapy platforms.

Preferred Experience

Successful applicants will also possess:

• Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills, enabling them to make informed decisions regarding client care.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, coupled with a compassionate, empathetic outlook.
• Experience in providing therapy through telehealth modalities, as well as a willingness to adapt to advanced technologies.

Compensation and Benefits

Positive-Steps Counseling Center offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 115,000 to 130,000, based on experience and hours worked. In addition to competitive compensation, we provide:
