Job description

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Anesthesiologists to join our distinguished team at Piedmont Macon Hospital. The ideal candidate will have experience in general anesthesia and demonstrate a commitment to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care within a collaborative and innovative clinical environment. Applicants at all experience levels are encouraged to apply.
This position is open to new graduates who demonstrate a commitment to learning, professional growth, and delivering high-quality patient care within a collaborative team environment.
Available Schedules:
  • 7 am - 5pm; 7 am - 7pm
  • Call shifts consist of 12 hours of call during the week and 24 hours of call on the weekend, for each call shift worked the provider will have a post call day following the call shift

Position Highlights &
Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive perioperative anesthetic care, including preoperative evaluation, intraoperative management, and postoperative care
  • Supervise and collaborate with Anesthesia Advanced Practice Providers (CRNA or Anesthesiologist Assistant) to ensure safe and effective anesthesia services
  • Participate in providing 24/7 anesthesia coverage in coordination with the anesthesia care team
  • Utilize Epic EMR for patient documentation and clinical workflows
  • Contribute to a culture of clinical excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement

Requirements:
  • MD or DO degree
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
  • Active Georgia medical license (or eligible and willing to obtain Georgia licensure
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in general anesthesia (newer physicians with relevant training are encouraged to apply)
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
