Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive intake assessments to determine client needs and establish therapeutic goals.
• Develop tailored treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
• Engage in ongoing therapeutic sessions, adapting techniques and approaches based on individual client responses.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client sessions, treatment progress, and clinical notes.
• Collaborate with other health professionals as needed to ensure holistic support for clients, especially in school settings.
• Participate in professional development activities, ensuring adherence to best practices and ethical standards.
• Foster a trusting and supportive therapeutic relationship that encourages client engagement and personal growth.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Phoenix Rising Counseling Center, we serve a diverse population ranging from children to adults, each facing unique mental health challenges. Our counselors are equipped to address a variety of conditions, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues. By providing therapy in a school context funded through educational institutions, counselors can spend more time focusing on the actual therapy rather than administrative tasks, thereby enhancing patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• A master's level degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited university.
• Current licensure as a mental health professional (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, PsyD, PhD, etc.) permitting the delivery of unsupervised therapy services.
• Two or more years of experience providing clinical psychotherapy to individuals, with a focus on adults.
• Proficient in thorough intake assessments, diagnostic processes, and strategic treatment planning.
• Strong writing abilities to effectively document client interactions and progress.
• A clean professional record devoid of disciplinary actions by any licensing board.
• Licensed to practice in California.

Preferred Experience

• Experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or other evidence-based practices in clinical settings.
• Prior experience working with school-aged children or in educational settings, enhancing the understanding of youth-related issues.
